Here When It Matters Most
WEB Merseyside is a community-led organisation supporting adults and young people across Birkenhead and the wider Wirral.
Whether you need someone to talk to, a way to grow your confidence, or support taking your next step in life or work, there’s a place for you here.
A Place to Be…
Heard – Talk in confidence to a trained professional who listens without judgement.
Supported – Counselling, listening, and help that’s actually useful.
Educated – Learn tools that help you grow, practically and emotionally.
Yourself – No pressure, no performance. Just come as you are.
Together – We eat together, talk together, laugh together.
A Place to Grow
WEB is a community-based service that supports adults and young people to live their best lives. We create a safe, welcoming space where people can build confidence, develop new skills, and feel more hopeful about the future. At WEB, we treat everyone with care, respect, and kindness. We believe in the power of shared experiences and encourage personal growth through support, creativity, and compassion.
Women's Services
Most of WEB’s Women’s Services take place at our warm and welcoming hub on Bentinck Street, right in the heart of Birkenhead. Here, a brilliant team of staff and volunteers are ready to greet you with friendly faces and open arms.
Men's Services
Men Too is a charity born out of WEB Merseyside’s work, after seeing first-hand that many men in the local community were struggling to find the support they needed. Men Too was founded to help Men with their well-being and mental health.
Youth Services
WEB offers in-house and community-based training for young people. Our aim is to build confidence, boost self-esteem, and help young people develop strong communication, coping, and anger management skills—so they can grow into happy, resilient adults.
Training
All of WEB’s training programmes have been designed and developed based on a range of coaching and NLP techniques. All facilitators are trained to at least Level 3 in Education and Training and use creative therapeutic tools like arts, pottery, and sandplay.
What people are saying about their time at WEB
With Our Community, For Our Community
WEB is proudly user-led and deeply rooted in Birkenhead.
We work closely with dedicated volunteers, local partners, and supporters to make sure no one is left behind.
We’re also proud recipients of several awards, including the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest honour for community organisations in the UK.
Over 9,500 people have come through our doors, all receiving the same wide armed, warm welcome, and many have come back as volunteers and staff members to support others on similar journeys.

Fundraise
We have an ongoing programme of fun and inventive fundraising activities supported by the local community, other local organisations and our partners.
Donate
People's donations help us to run our weekly boys', young women's and women's groups and allows us take our service users on trips and experience things they wouldn't necesserily do without your help.
come in for a brew
Whether you need some support or want to offer your time to support us, we love to meet our community. Get in touch via the form and we’ll be in touch to organise a one-to-one chat over a biscuit and brew.
